India Accepts Internship done in Bangladesh, whereas students from the Philippines, Russia and Ukraine must undergo a 1-year compulsory Internship in India.

MCI Passing percentage

Availability of the food

Indian students always find it difficult to adapt to the food they get abroad, whereas Bangladesh cuisine is rice-based as south India making it very adaptable for the Indian students.

Curriculums

The curriculum in Bangladesh is the same as in India and Nepal. The textbooks and Reference books are mostly by Indian Authors. Their syllabus is based on MCI pattern and is up to date and not like in many other countries. no charge for after class tuition for medical students, this cost is high in Russia and China.

Climate

Bangladesh has a tropical monsoon climate Same as Indian climate, far better
than south Indian Climate. It is much cooler and has ample rainfall.

Compared to other countries, Bangladesh is a densely populated country having a huge patient flow in hospitals, so students during their hospital visits have vibrant experience and good patient exposure even in Private medical colleges

Infrastructure

Most of the Medical colleges in Bangladesh have the requisite infrastructure as mandated by the Bangladesh Medical Council, however, some have the very best of infrastructure and facilities with all modern medical equipment and technologies in place.

Faculty

Bangladesh Medical colleges employ well experienced, sincere, friendly, helpful teaching faculties to impart medical education to their students. Some of the faculties teaching in some Bangladesh medical colleges, are from India.

Tests & Exams

Items are more or less like small topics that are taught every day at college. The items taught on that day are tested by viva the next day.

Cards: Card exams consist of -20 to 50 items & is scheduled as per the completion of Items.

Term: 2 cards make 1 term. It takes 6 months to complete 1 term.

Prof: 2 to 3 terms make a prof exam. There are totally 4 Prof Exams. If Unable to give Prof Exams on the first attempt, it can be attempted again after 6 months.

Hospitals

Most of the hospitals attached to the private medical colleges are run under “Trusts”. The cost of medical treatment in these hospitals are very nominal and at par with the government hospitals with high patient flow.  These hospitals are always near to their respective teaching colleges thereby the students do not have to travel long distances to work in these hospitals.

Quality

Even though the living standards in Bangladesh is not like Europe, the quality of medical education in Bangladesh is at par with India with adequate infrastructure and facilities.

Diseases

Bangladesh, as you know, is just like our state of west Bengal sharing the same demography and climatic conditions thereby the diseases are also common between India and Bangladesh. Due to this, our students get to know about all the disease that is prevalent in India and they are well trained in all of the diagnostic procedures which are similar to that followed in India.

Hostels

Hostels of medical colleges in Bangladesh are safe, secure, and clean with all adequate facilities and amenities. Separate hostels for girls and Boys are maintained with strict rules and regulations as in India

Cost of living

The cost of living in Bangladesh is much cheaper compared to other countries. The local transport, food, clothing cost are much less even when compared to India as the currency exchange rate to Indian rupees is less. no charge after class, tuition for medical students, this cost is high in Russia and China.

Community Medicine

Every govt and private colleges take students to villages for medical camps and field visits, to ensure the student gets adequate exposure to practical hands on experience, which is seldom available in other countries.
